Navy SEALs train to a high standard, why don’t Christians?

Why do Navy SEALS train to high standards but Christians don’t? Christians don’t take their faith serious enough.

Why do Navy SEALS train to high standards but Christians don’t?

Christians don’t take their faith serious enough.

Take the gospel serious.

If you are a soldier for God—for the gospel of Jesus Christ—then why don’t you train hard?

If you took the gospel serious, you’d train as hard as the Navy SEALS do. But Christians don’t take it serious enough—in fact, they do the opposite.

They try to make it as easy as possible for each other. They reference Paul who advised the Gentiles to not abide by the law as the Jews would instruct—In order to not lay a burden upon the Gentiles and hinder their faith.

Christians are scared.

But Christians have taken it too far. They are scared of everything—scared of saying…everything. They avoid topics and don’t discuss them because it may hinder the faith of some…or they are just plain afraid of the response they’ll get—scared to offend someone.

Did Jesus Christ walk on eggshells? Or did He boldly proclaim and preach the word of God?

“The man is the head of the household and the woman is to submit to him.”

Ephesians 5:22-24 KJV

22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

That phrase alone causes great fear to many “Christians.” Yet did Paul stumble or stagger in saying it?

The fact that churches even have divorces is insane to me. Absolutely insane.

Have no part with evil doers.

There is a reason why Paul states to take no part with evil doers—And if there are people who do not walk according to Jesus’ commandments—to have no part with them. If they, continue in their ways, have no part with them. Remove them from the church.

Christians have this problem of trying to save everyone—here’s the thing.

Not everyone is going to be saved. In fact, most people aren’t going to be saved. Yet “Christians” nowadays try to lay a big blanket of salvation over everyone.

It’ll truly hurt when the day comes and someone who thought they were saved, because they were told so, is told a different story at judgment day. I’d rather cut people who don’t follow wholeheartedly out of the faith.

Then at least they know they aren’t saved and can potentially have a seed planted and turn around to be saved. As opposed to someone who believes they’re saved and calls out “Lord Lord” but hears, “I never knew you.”

The “Christians” nowadays produce a whole lot of “Lord Lord”s because they’re too afraid of cutting people out—too afraid to put people away and have no part with them.

Weak churches

If I find a church with people who are a foot in and a foot out, it says a lot.

I understand that evil people doesn’t mean the church is bad…but it definitely does say something about the church. It says the church is willing to join themselves to evil people. They are willing to accept and allow evil or straying people in their church—which is a very bad thing.

Beware of the leaven

The Apostle Paul said it himself.

A little leaven, leaveneth the WHOLE lump.

1st Corinthians 5:6-7

Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

That means even a small amount of evil or lies will spread through the whole church. It will bring down the church—corrupt it. That is why churches can have no fellowship with those who willingly walk in evil or stray away. So, have no part with evil doers.

And no wonder unbelievers see the church as a joke. They watch “Christians” fellowship and allow in people who don’t truly walk with Jesus Christ, only here and there when they feel like it—on the outside it looks foolish, hypocritical.

“If that church was serious about what they say then why would they let someone like that walk with them?”, they’d ask themselves.

It negates everything the church says and stands for because they aren’t willing to stand for anything.

Like reading the Bible—before they didn’t read the Bible because they didn’t have one to read, but now we have the Bible.

To whom more is given, more is expected.

We’ve been given the word of God and the teachings of Jesus Christ. Therefore, more is required of us to meet them and walk in His ways.

It’s hard to walk in the Spirit without the word of God.

And from my own personal experience, I’ve found it is VERY difficult to walk with God if I’m not in my Bible daily. Even doing that, I’ve had some trouble because the world is so overpowering.

Therefore, if you read the Bible everyday, you can walk well with Christ and be in the Spirit. But without it?

And it makes sense…no wonder I see so many churches and “Christians” that don’t live it—that seem worldly to me. I’ve seen a lot of “Christians” that talk about Jesus Christ but look like the world, behave like the world, and in all ways are like the world.

But how can this be? Didn’t we put on Christ and put off the world?

So if we put off the world then how can this be?

Probably because they aren’t in their Bible. Every man’s flesh is from the world and of the world, so if you aren’t walking in the Spirit, you’re walking in the flesh. And if you’re walking in the flesh, you are walking in the way of the world.

I’ve seen it myself. The moment I begin neglecting the Bible, it is not very long at all, that I become extremely worldly. I fall into very quickly, and so will everyone else.

If you’re not anchored in the word of God, you’ll be swept away by the currents of the world.

So it’s no wonder so many “Christians” are worldly because they aren’t anchored in the word of God everyday. They get drawn away into the world by the powerful forces of the world—the deceitfulness of the world and all that is has to offer—temporary, worldly things.

The world is more powerful and dangerous than ever

And the powers of the world are more powerful than ever. The world now has the ability to sneak into, and enter into ANYONE’S home—in an instant.

Whereas before, it was difficult. You had to willingly let a worldly person enter into your home.

But now…now worldly people are everywhere, and it only takes one swipe, or one tap on your phone for the world to enter into your home and speak.

People don’t know what good is

People don’t know what good looks like. Ask any unbeliever and they’ll tell you they’re a good person. They’ll say they’re loving, caring and kind. People don’t know what good is.
