I found this beautiful song called Breath of Heaven by Amy Grant which was being sung by BYU Noteworthy on YouTube.
And though it sounds beautiful, it’s ripe with problems…
Focus on mary
There is this HUGE focus on Mary. Which is VERY problematic as it’s the beginning of the worship of mary as opposed to God, We are called to focus on God and worship Him. Not mary.
Worshipping and focusing on mary is idolatry and the same as bowing down to worship one of HIS prophets or angels.
It is an abomination and SHOULD NOT be done.
Even the book of Revelation points us to this as well as the Old Testament. In Revelation, we see John fall down before a servant of GOD who swiftly told him to get up and stop worshipping him.
Christians should NEVER be focusing or looking at anyone else except for Jesus Christ, except for GOD, the Father!
Mary struggling and doubting?
I mean the song is all about Mary as if we were living through her eyes, and as if she would be singing a song, it would be this one…
But it wouldn’t be this one.
The song’s lyrics paints a picture of a struggling Mary. As if she was filled with tons of doubt and mental strain as a result of being chosen. As if she was questioning GOD.
But the scripture tells us something different. That Mary had confidence and faith in God from the beginning. That’s why she was chosen in the first place.
When the angel came down to her and told her what would happen, she submitted to it immediately. No questioning or doubting whether it would happen. Complete submission to it.
This song would be better suited to Elizabeth, her cousin who didn’t have faith for John the Baptist. But that is still bad because Christians should NEVER be focusing or looking at anyone else except for Jesus Christ, except for GOD, the Father!
The danger of BYU’s specific video ending
At the end, they say “as we honor mary and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ”, which tells us a lot.
mary was put before Jesus Christ. This order was said because the song was about mary not Jesus Christ—which IS the problem. The focus of the song was about mary, but that should NEVER be the focus.
In fact, it is written that we are to walk a narrow and STRAIGHT path. Straight meaning we don’t turn to the left or to the right. This is even written throughout the Old Testament where GOD tells His prophets and servants and people not to turn to the left or to the right.
Making a song about mary is turning to the left off the path towards GOD. Switching your focus off of GOD straight ahead, and over to the left towards mary.
Do not hold anyone in honor or high esteem
Holding anyone in honor or high esteem is problematic for people in general. Again, it leads to idolatry where people become idols.
What is an idol? A carved stone or material? Not necessarily. It is when people HONOR and HIGHLY ESTEEM those carved images. They start to put the object or person above them and worship them. This is NOT TO BE DONE.
This can be seen clearly with “celebrities” who become “idols” to little boys and little girls. Clearly shown in the very popular TV show, “American Idol.”
This conflicts with what Jesus Christ said to the people around Him when they said that His “mother” was there. They were seeking to honor and exalt her.
However, Jesus Christ quickly shut it down turning the focus directly to GOD. To honor Him and not anyone else. He quickly brought her down to the level of everyone else.
Simply put, anyone and everyone should follow and put their faith in GOD, that is what the focus should be. Nothing else. GOD should be honored and faith in Him the focus. Nothing else.
Summary
Follow GOD. Look towards HIM and put your focus on HIM. No one and nothing else.
Christians should NEVER be focusing or looking at anyone else except for Jesus Christ, except for GOD, the Father!
You should highly esteem, honor, put above you no one except GOD.

Amy Grant publicly supports homosexuality
The writer of the original song is Amy Grant, a so called, “Christian” artist.

Divorced
She met her 2nd husband WHILE she was married to her first husband. Need I say more? The 1st husband who she was with for 17 years. Abuse couldn’t even be an excuse at 17 YEARS!!!
She was already fawning over and falling in love with the 2nd husband while she already had one! Adultery? Potential for physical adultery, but she is guilty already for adultery of the heart.

What this all means
It’s simple.
The one who is called a “Christian” artist is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Yet she is an “award-winning” one as well with supposed “Christian” dove awards which aren’t Christian at all.
You have a wolf in sheep’s clothing making “Christian” music and leading people astray.
It’s no surprise she wrote a song focusing solely on mary and not Jesus Christ.
Brigham Young University isn’t Christian
They claim to be. It is Mormon. I know they aren’t true Christians.
I just like their choir’s voices and listen ONLY to the songs which aren’t dangerous ones and focused on Christ.
This note is important for babies in Christ and those who aren’t aware that they aren’t Christian.
There is a reason why they sing all types of songs and even the one I mentioned, “Breath of Heaven (Mary’s Song)”, which is clearly an evil, bad and wolf in sheep’s clothing song.
So what music to listen to then? Old music that is Christian, written a long time ago before it was infiltrated.
Classical music is great because it has no motive or attempt to influence you. It is just purely music.
Test every song you listen to.
You can listen to much older songs which are safer. However, you need to be aware and KNOW if you aren’t listening to a Christian song.
I’ll leave it to you and the Holy Spirit to lead you. Those are just my tips and what I’ve found good.
