What do you build websites with / on?
I build websites with WordPress; Using Elementor Pro for the page builder. I get clients a license at a discounted rate. ($50 vs. $60 / year)
Do you offer SEO?
I do offer on-page SEO which is the very basics of SEO.
But no, I don’t do the SEO that’ll drive the large amount of traffic you’re looking for.
Most industries are very competitive landscapes which require a lot of manpower and content to be produced nonstop. Needing big teams dedicated solely to getting websites ranking highly in search engines.
I don’t do SEO but I can refer you.
Are your websites mobile friendly?
Yes, my websites are responsive and mobile friendly. Adjusting sizes to conform to various different sized screens and devices.
Do you take photos?
No I do not. I do know a few photographers who I can get you in touch with.
And I can coordinate and work with your photographers to produce the necessary content for a gorgeous website.
Do you charge for maintenance?
I teach my clients how to easily maintain their own websites so they don’t have to pay for monthly maintenance.
For clients that don’t want the extra work or want to spend the time, I charge $50 / month.
Do you use templates?
No! I pride myself on creating unique designs that set people and businesses apart from their competitors. Thus, avoiding templates completely and opting to create from imagination and creativity.
Do you use WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow?
I build my websites on WordPress with a plugin that makes the website as easy to change and update as Squarespace or Wix, with a drag and drop editor.
I can design websites within Squarespace and Wix. GoDaddy as well however their basic builder is very limited.
I’ve played with Webflow but wouldn’t use it for a small business.
What if I want to make changes to my website?
You’ll be able to make any changes you want to your website and do it easily. You’ll have an easy to use, drag and drop page builder to make changes as you please.
And anything more custom and advanced, you can always send me a text or email and we can make changes to your website.
What services do you recommend for a website?
Avoid GoDaddy AT ALL COSTS.
I recommend business owners to build on WordPress with Namecheap for a domain name and hosting.
WordPress is extremely established, very flexible, customizable and has a huge community supporting it. It powers almost half of the entire internet.
Namecheap doesn’t have the best hosting but it gets the job done for small business owners and their support is great! It’s also one of the better priced places to grab a domain name.
For great hosting, look at CloudWays, AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Google Cloud, most small businesses don’t need this level of hosting though. And single page websites DEFINITELY don’t need this level of hosting.
Regardless, get it wherever you can find the best rates but…
